Hello Girls!

This is just a quick post to say that I'm still alive out here, even though I'm nearly lost in a sea of back-to-school activities, etc. Right now we have a witnessing expedition planned for Monday, I'm getting ready to teach an Irish Step Dancing class, we have musical practice (we're doing Brigadoon and the boys AristoCats!), we have a ministry performance on Saturday, along with a going-away party for our cousin (she is an army nurse and is leaving for duty), Grant has baseball, and I have a Bright Lights meeting to prepare.

Not to mention all the regular school work that goes with starting school. :~)

P.S.  Please pray that the witnessing trip, class I'm teaching, and the performance Sat. go well!

Summer Storms

In the midst of our summer heat, we have had a few refreshing (if somewhat damaging) storms. :-)

And after a storm, you can take fun pictures!

Lydia, don't you think you should come in out of the wind?

I like taking pictures of flowers in the morning when they have dew on them, or after a storm.

Bright Lights

Our Bright Lights group has been meeting over the summer, and we have had lots of fun!  Finishing set 5 two meetings ago, we are now getting ready for a Gratefulness Banquet.  The girls have prepared a couple songs in sign language, and memorized Psalm 23.  Pray that it goes well!!

Here are some pictures (taken by Lydia) of our last meeting:

Rebekah and Abby

Small group discussion--we were writing speeches for the banquet.

Maria is always smiling.  She made the exciting announcement at the meeting that her mom is expecting another baby!

: : Concentration : :

Delicious little cake balls made by Tara and Caroline.

Announcement.....

Some of you may have already read on Lydia's blog that Mama is expecting number 7!  We are all excited!  Right now there are three girls and three boys and the new baby is a girl.  Keep Mom in your prayers that the pregnancy goes well, etc.

P.S.  The due date is December 8th--Lance's birthday!!  Grant's is the 19th.

Over at Sewing in the Past, Rebecca Jane is hosting a blog party!  Go check it out!

List ten things that make me happy...

Homemade smoothies.  Tasty!

My little sister.  She's so cute and cuddly!

God's creation.  It really is breathtaking.

God's word.  It's a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Swinging.  Especially with friends!

Freedom.  We haven't always had it.

Friends.  To laugh with.

Sunrises.  And the walks that go with them.

Watermelon.  Sweet and drippy!

And finally...cameras to capture the rest!

New Jeresy: The Wedding Rehearsal

Noela @ the rehearsal.
The rehearsal dinner was at a little Italian restaurant.
The food was amazing!  Everything was so perfect it looked like art!

Down the street was a pretty dam and old mill.
After the dinner, there was a pre-wedding party.  Some square dance, others socialized.  Lydia and I did a little Irish Step Dancing while the rest took a break.

More later.....
